Little Baby Cabbages aka BRUSSEL SPROUTS!

Brussels sprouts and other brassicas are a good source of indole-3-carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells.

Below are some creative ways to dress up your brussel sprouts.

  • Basic Recipe:
    •  Brussels sprouts
      3 tablespoons of olive oil
      3/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
      1/2 teaspoon of cracked pepper
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  Mix the sprouts with the olive oil, salt and pepper in a bowl. Then pour them out into a baking dish and spread them out to a single layer. Bake for 20-30 minutes, on the top shelf of the oven, stirring once during the baking time.
  • Sautee your brussels with mushrooms in a tbsp of sesame seed oil. Mix in a little red pepper flakes and salt. Sautee for about five to six minutes, and then they are ready (from Tone it up)
  • You can boil or steam these little cabbages.
There you have it, three easy ways to eat brussell sprouts.

Have a good night.  Peace, love, and running.
